Valentine’s Day Activities

Valentine’s Day is well and truly around the corner. With only a few days left before the day dedicated to passion, it’s time to think about how you’ll be spending it. This is the day when love manifests itself as flowers and chocolates, a day when everyone feels the pressure to pull out all the stops to show the one they love how much they care. For some people it’s just another day, others think it is light hearted fun and embrace the traditional romanticised ideas, some take it very seriously – you will probably find those people in Paris or New York for the weekend! However you choose to spend the day, just be sure to have fun!

We have collected some of our favourite ideas for Valentine’s Day activities, we hope you like them…

Cosy Night In

Whether this be with your other half, your family, or friends; Valentine’s is all about love so you should spend it with the people special to you. With the run of miserable, monsoon style weather we’ve had in the UK lately, what’s better than plonking yourself on the sofa with a cuppa after a hard week, with a delicious take-away, a few delectable chocolate treats, a classic film, flickering candles and the people you love? So drag down your duvet and pillows and get comfy for a cosy Valentine’s night in!

We all know that the cost of going for a nice meal doubles on Valentine’s evening, so why not stay at home and have a more personal date? Not only can you cook your favourite foods, just the way you like, but you don’t have to watch other couples slobbering over each other either!

Countryside Escape

If you decide to go somewhere in the UK (our favourite would be a spa in the middle of nowhere), and want to enjoy a dreamy meander together along the coast or through the countryside, may we recommend a pair of wellies, something warm, and something waterproof? The rate we’re going, it’s not going to stop raining until 2015! The best part will be getting back to the hotel, or stopping at a quaint pub and warming up by the roaring fire!
