What A Year!

What A Year!

Time Away

To take our mind of the fact the back of our house was being taken down we decided to go and visit Poole in Dorset with the girls. They had an amazing time, running in and out of the very cold sea and playing in farm parks. We also enjoyed the cream teas and ice creams that were on offer. We return refreshed and ready to take on the build and work once more. I am still on maternity leave and will return at the end of the year but for now, I am a lady of leisure (ha ha ha ha ha).

First Day Of Kindergarten

When I say lady of leisure I mean a play machine for the girls. The littlest Jones decided to start walking at nine months and so for the last month we have definitely been kept on our toes as she runs around after her big sister. Talking of whom, Willow has just gone up to Kindergarten at nursery. She has been going since she was one and really loves it there so the move wasn’t too hard but I just crumpled when I saw her in her uniform. She has also decided that she now wants to go with her Daddy to the Game Fairs which have been underway over the summer. This coming weekend is the last one for us this year, that being The Midland Game Fair. So if you come and visit us at the shows next year, do not be surprised to see Willow organising and tidying and generally causing mayhem.

Autumn In Herefordshire

This is my 8th year in Hereford and I am still amazed at how wonderful this time of year is in these parts. The countryside is looking wonderful and there are still plenty of things to do. One of my favourite things this year has been to take the girls to Tillington Court Farm where we have picked lots of fruit and vegetables and have had lots of adventures in the fields. Did you know Peter Rabbit and Mr McGreggor have been seen around the carrot plot! (They have according to Willow)

Tons Of Fun!

Another favourite thing of mine is to visit GlazyDayz in Hereford. The girls love going there and I have been taking Willow since she was born. We go every Christmas and get handprints on Christmas decorations and this year I decided to get some tiles made to put in the new kitchen of the girls’ footprints. Lynn who runs the business is wonderful and makes you feel really welcome.

More Fun To Be Had

As for the rest of the year well, there is a lot to look forward to. The start of the shooting season, jumping in muddy puddles, harvest festival and of course Father Christmas coming to town. What’s not to smile about.
