The Chatsworth Country Fair

Hello All, Bruce myself and 9 others from the Philip Morris & Son family have just got back from working at the Chatsworth Country Fair last weekend. The team that went up to the fair were Mark the gun room extraordinaire man, Barbara, our great sales assistant from the clothing store, Brendon, our new guy for the gunroom, Sophie, our new Christmas temp, Nathan, our new Saturday boy, Craig, who is our amazing warehouse processor and packing and general handyman, myself, Bruce and John. Not to mention Maurice and Bunty (the head of the Jones’ family) who looked after us all throughout the weekend.

The whole team did amazingly well and worked tirelessly throughout the weekend and suffered the long drive home late at night on Sunday and got up without any hassle for a half eight shop open on the Monday morning. Of course all the other staff in the shop helped out because we can’t leave the shop without staff and so the online and the face to face side of the business was well looked after by our amazing team of people.

To paint a picture of the fairs we go to, Bruce and John take two lorries up a few days before with the muscle (aka Craig , Brendon and Nathan) and start setting up the marque. The rest of the guys travel up the next day and we set about dressing the marque with all our fantastic products. On one side of the marque we have our Barbour selection and the other is devoted to Musto, but recently we have got in Schoffel which went down a storm at the show. We also take other good likes Jack Murphy.  Additionally at the fairs we take our range of fantastic wellington boots ranging from Chameau boots to the wonderfully bright and colourful Hunter wellingtons. All sold really well and demand was so great we had sold out of most boot sizes by the end of the weekend (less to pack which is what we like!).

The team who go to the shows are fantastic and really make the atmosphere for a wonderful weekend. We all eat and sleep in the marque and we cook our breakfast, lunches and dinners on the gold old BBQ which as previous readers will know Bruce and I use a lot at home.

So I would just like to say a massive thank you from us all for visiting us at the game fair and we hope to see you at the Midland Game Fiar which is the 15/16 September and another big thank you to all the Philip Morris team both at home and at the fair for another successful fair.
