Review Time! The Samsonite Spark Cabin Case

If you are one of the lucky ones jetting away for a well earned holiday in the coming months then today’s blog is definitely for you! You’ve probably already bought your travel insurance (especially important if you’re going to be enjoying some action and adventure), arranged your visas and sorted out your spending money. But is your luggage travel ready? If your bags have seen better days then you will be pleased to know that Philip Morris & Son are now proud stockists of Samsonite and American Tourister!

Getting ready to board my flight!

I was lucky enough to be able to test Samsonite’s perennial best-seller the Spark during a trip to Iceland earlier this month. And the verdict? Well there’s a reason why it’s a best-seller! The classic looks make it a great all-rounder case, subtle enough to be used for both work and pleasure jaunts. It’s available in a range of muted colours (more of which are coming soon to our website) including classic black and an under-stated rock. But its looks aren’t the reason why I appreciated having this cabin case for my six day holiday!

I only had a hand-luggage allowance for my EasyJet flight, and the cabin case easily came in under the 56 x 45 x 25 cm baggage allowance that the company allows. The Spark features an integrated two wheel system that gives the case just that bit more space for your belongings, which was perfect for me as the temperatures went down below zero degrees during the evening, and I needed to bring plenty of warm jumpers. The bag easily held all of the clothing, boots and toiletries required for a five night stay abroad, and kept them organised using the oodles of pockets! It even features a clever little TSA combination padlock which can secure not only the main compartment, but also the two front pockets if required.

However, my favourite feature was something small, but which showed that Samsonite have considered every last detail when designing the suitcase:

There are two small pockets on either side of the main compartment which can be used to tuck the packing straps out of the way when you’re not using them. They’ve been one of my pet hates in suitcases for a very long time, and Samsonite have thought of a simple yet elegant solution.

So if you’re interested in a versatile, feature filled suitcase then I would definitely recommend the Spark! If you’d like further information, please head over to www.philipmorrisdirect.co.uk, or call us on 01432 377 089.
