Musto: Olympic Gold At Philip Morris And Son

Musto’s three main areas of technical clothing lie in their sailing, shooting and equestrian ranges, and the fact that Musto’s technical clothing is so good, is no coincidence.

Musto use a range of fabric technologies, ensuring the best protection and results for the wearer. This year will see them brought to the forefront at the London 2012 Olympics as Musto brand ambassadors from their sailing, shooting and equestrian ranges have all qualified to participate in the Olympics this summer.

Representing shooting at the Olympics is Charlotte Kerwood, shooting ambassador of Musto since 2010. She has qualified to represent Team GB in the ‘Olympic Trap Shooting’ discipline in July.

Musto’s full team of Equestrian ambassadors have qualified in the Eventing; Zara Phillips, William Fox-Pitt, and Kristina Cooke will be competing at Greenwich Park on 28th – 31st July. In a tough and unpredictable sport it is a phenomenal success to have all 3 equestrian ambassadors selected, perhaps they‘ve trained a bit harder in the wet weather thanks to the Musto kit!

Musto will also be the technical clothing suppliers to the British sailing team, Team Skandia GBR. Musto’s sailing range is close fitting to skin, while ensuring no restrictions in movement. They have a range of insulated, windproof, waterproof and breathable clothing, ensuring the highest comfort is maintained. To create this Musto use a ‘3-Layer System’ of fabrics, used in the base, mid, and outer layers of clothing. This has also been used in their Equestrian and Shooting Ranges.

The potential Musto have seen in their ambassadors can only mean they will bring Olympic victory for the UK during the 2012 London Olympics. At Philip Morris & Son we are proud to work closely with Musto as stockist and development partners, and wish every success to the athletes.
